Whether you are a full-fledged foodie or an emerging gourmand, you are sure to find more than one event to whet your appetite.

There is something for everyone - from food and wine tastings, to seminars and cooking demonstrations, to outdoor adventures with food & wine influences, there are tastes and temptations at every turn.

The festivities begin Wednesday with the Farm to Barn Wine Dinner at the beautiful Larson Barn. The celebration continues on Thursday with the Wine on the Mountain Kickoff which includes breath taking views, great wine, delicacies and entertainment.

The Wine Festival will be in full gear throughout the weekend with events that incorporate the Steamboat outdoors such as hiking and biking, as well as painting, farm to table pairing, and much more.

The Stroll of Steamboat Friday night will take patrons on a tour through a variety of downtown restaurants and retailers. Mingle over an assorted selection of wine, spirits, craft beer, and hors d'oeuvres at each stop. Don't miss the Grand Tasting Toast of Steamboat on Saturday. This is the grand finale of the event, with over 500 wines, premium beer, and a variety of parings from local restaurants.

August 5, 2015: Farm to Barn Wine Dinner
A Celebration of local food and fine wine! The Steamboat Wine Festival gives a unique spin on the traditional Farm to Table concept bringing to you the Farm To Barn Wine Dinner. This signature event of our non-profit partner, STARS, will feature a dinner menu beautifully crafted from locally and nationally acclaimed Executive Chefs Kate Rench of Café Diva, Jason Salisbury of Mahogany Ridge, and Brian Vaughn of bistro cv. The Colorado-inspired six-course dinner will be served in at the beautiful Larson Barn which sits quaintly in the middle of the Yampa Valley. August 6, 2015: Wine & Nine
Haymaker has been described as a core golf course built for golfers. The picturesque gondola ride from Steamboat’s base area to Thunderhead Lodge whisks you to the top of the mountain for an unforgettable evening. As the sun sets over Yampa Valley, you’ll be in a food and wine bliss. Only the best of the best wines will be featured here, along with impressive culinary feats from the top chefs of Steamboat Resort. August 6, 2015: Free Concert Kick-Off Party
The Wine on the Mountain Kickoff Celebration doesn’t end after the ride down the gondola. Your evening is just getting started! We’re keeping the party going with a live concert in beautiful Gondola Square. Break out the pumps, track suits, and big hair and get ready to dance the night away to the great 80’s music of the 6 Million Dollar Band. No, Steve Austin will not be in signing, however they’ll heat up your 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon as you Footloose under the stars in Gondola Square. And because no one would pay to see us dance, we’re not charging either. This FREE concert runs from 7pm – 9:30. Come fly with us over the beautiful Yampa Valley. For hot-air balloon enthusiasts, the Upper Yampa River often has the holy grail of conditions, making it an experience of a lifetime. Lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails for this energizing and enjoyable trek, offering gorgeous views of Mt. Werner and the Yampa Valley, and guided by Steamboat Resort Ambassadors. Beginning with a Gondola ride to Thunderhead, this scenic route will follow the Vista Nature Trail, one of the most beautiful trails in Steamboat Springs. Following the hike, enjoy a delicious lunch and tasting of California grown green wines from Kobrand Wine & Spirits. Susie Mayr, Colorado District Manager, will explain that while it’s not easy being green, it certainly is delicious. If there’s a single trend in how to grow wine grapes, it’s biodynamics— and the six wines, from such acclaimed producers as Benziger and Domaine Carneros, will all be biodynamic, organic and/or sustainable. Winegrowers around the world have adopted these ‘green’ farming practices that have helped to greatly improve the quality of the wines and the environment. Sauté and Sip! The Steamboat Wine Festival teams up with Colorado Mountain College to bring you this interactive and unique brunch experience. August 9, 2015: It's a Mimosa Morning

Led by outdoor enthusiast and photographer Barrett Doran, this gloriously scenic route begins with a quick ride on the Steamboat Gondola, and follows one of many beautiful trails in Steamboat. Be sure to bring your camera, as Barrett will guide you along aspen groves and rocky outcrops, stopping along the way with photograph suggestions and sharing in local lore. Following the hike, relax and unwind on the beautiful deck at Thunderhead Lodge while enjoying a delicious brunch and mimosas – a wonderful way to end the your stay in Steamboat.
