Enduro-X Race Series

Enduro-X Race Series

DATE: Aug 22, 2015 - Aug 23, 2015

The Enduro-X Race Series is designed to challenge rider skills and endurance. The course selections for the Enduro-X races are some of the longest offered in the world offering descents over 2000 vertical feet per stage. Each course, called a Stage in the Enduro race format, is where riders are timed on the on the descending sections. The Transition to the start of the next Stage is not timed.  Transitions are ridden or use the Gondola lift service to get to the start of the following Stage. Stages will start with an individual start format of 30 to 60 seconds between riders.

The Enduro-X events take place at the Steamboat Bike Park and US Forest Service trails in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The trails can be ridden with full-suspension mountain bikes with 26″, 27.5″ and 29″ wheel sizes. Suspension of 5″-6″ recommended. All of the trail sections and features can be be ridden, or “rolled”. Racers must ride the same bike for all Stages and are responsible for any on-course repairs, such as fixing flats. Each Stage must be completed to continue on the next Stage. A full-face helmet is required to race Stages taking place in the Bike Park.

Race registration includes lift tickets and lunch for race day (and beer tickets!), a race registration bag, or “swag-bag” with goodies. Racers will be able to purchase a half-price lift ticket for Practice. For 2015, Saturday August 22 will be open for Practice with four Stages raced on Sunday August 23. Registration opens February 20, 2015.

Prizes! There will be plenty of great prizes to go around from local and national Sponsors. The cash Purse for the Pro Men and Women categories will split equally.
