16 mile and 50k amazing trail race from Fish Creek Falls over to the ski area via the mountain view trail. One not to miss! Race caps at 150 runners: pre-register online. Races will begin at Fish Creek Falls parking area at the top of Fish Creek Falls Road.

16 mile Course Description: limb Zig Zag, left onto Pioneer; Climb Pioneer to Rainbow saddle, left up Storm Peak Challenge; Storm Peak Challenge to Mt. Werner summit; Descend Pete’s Wicked Trail, right on Cathy’s Cutoff; Descend Cathy’s Cutoff to right turn (stay straight) onto Sunshine; Descend Sunshine to you hit the road, turn left and descend to Rainbow saddle; Descend Elkhead to a left onto Moonlight; Descend Moonlight to a right tun onto the road, left onto Valley View; Descend Valley View all the way through Rough Rider basin, right onto the road; Descend Short Cut Rd to Finish (cold beer and special treats).

The Steamboat Springs Running Series has been an integral part of the Steamboat Springs community for 23 years. We are committed to hosting fun, competitive, affordable, family friendly events for runners and walkers of all ages, types and abilities. We are a 13 race series with events ranging from flat, fast, road 5k’s to rugged, mountain, ultra marathons. Each race in our series donates a portion of it’s proceeds to a local non-profit in the Yampa Valley.
