This races offers two distances on Emerald Mountain, 12k (ends up being closer to 7.75 miles long) and a 5k. This scenic course will begin at the base of Howelsen Hill and tour Emerald Mountain through aspen lined single track. Hikers are welcomed in the 12k.

This race will serve as the end of the SSRS pointed season where series winners will be announced. Please be present to pick up awards.
Distances: 12k (roughly 7.75 miles), 5k, Kids Run
Course Description:Start behind Olympian Hall and follow Robbie’s to Mile Run to Blackmere. Continue up to Larry’s via Blackmere, then take Larry’s up and over through the meadow to head across and pop out on Blackmere again for a short time. Run up Blackmere to the Quarry and down Little Moab to Lupine. Take Lupine to the Bluff’s and then a big loop on the Bluffs down to the start.

The Steamboat Springs Running Series has been an integral part of the Steamboat Springs community for 23 years. We are committed to hosting fun, competitive, affordable, family friendly events for runners and walkers of all ages, types and abilities. We are a 13 race series with events ranging from flat, fast, road 5k’s to rugged, mountain, ultra marathons. Each race in our series donates a portion of it’s proceeds to a local non-profit in the Yampa Valley.
