Howelsen Place is THE address of Old Town Steamboat. Located at the site of the famous Harbor Hotel at 7th and Lincoln, this property captures the historical significance of ski jumping by introducing a bronze statue of Carl Howelsen, the one time world record holder for ski jumping and prominent, turn of the century Steamboat Springs resident. Discover what the locals already know. Park your car, ride you bike or walk to where it's happening; restaurants, shops, movies, you name it. When you stay in the heart of downtown you have easy access to almost everything, and the free city ski shuttle can whisk you to the mountain during ski season.
The common area grill located in the courtyard of the Lincoln Building (Building B) is available to all guests staying at Howelsen Place.
Equipment Rentals at the Best Prices: Mountain Resorts has teamed up with Steamboat Sports and Ski Butlers to provide discounted equipment rentals to our guests. Steamboat Sports offers seven locations, and Ski Butlers offers a convenient delivery, support and pickup service.

YOUTH SPORTS: Please be advised that the Howelsen Place Owners Association has adopted a policy of not allowing sport teams and/or players to stay at their property. If you are visiting Steamboat for a youth sports tournament or event, such as Triple Crown, Mountain Soccer or Steamboat Classic Lacrosse, please select another of our fine properties. We apologize for any inconvenience.
OVERSIZED VEHICLES: Oversized vehicles such as recreational vehicles, trailers and boats are not permitted at any of our rental properties and may be towed at the vehicle owner's expense.
